English, 19th century mahogany campaign desk with brass hardware, mitered rabbet joints, decorative brass corner protectors, brass handles on either side, right handle pulls out to reveal a long drawer, and a brass plaque inscribed "I, Reid" is featured in the center of the lid. Interior has black and gold accented leather writing surface, two hidden compartments for parchment, two open compartments for inkwells, and two covered compartments painted black to match the leather writing surface. Lock present, but no key. Arm to hold desk open is also missing. Stand is mahogany, butt jointed, with square legs and simple wooden scroll brackets adorning the inside corners. 9 1/4" H x 11 3/8" L x 18 3/8" W desk, 14 7/8" H x 12 1/4" L x 19 1/4" W stand, 24" H x 12 1/4" L x 19 1/4" W overall.
